paraphrasing Stoops: When it's 3rd and 2 our guys have to execute better than them - there are no special or trick plays its just us versus them. We just made too many mistakes. TCU did a better job executing plays than us and they were the better team today. Shafer could learn a thing or two about what to say and not say in a presser.

No ISIS comment. I bring this up as my spouse is still really upset with Shafer's comments Friday. Still talking about it while we were drinking coffee and reading the paper this morning. Then she points out the OU Stoops presser snip it on ESPN (yes we both watch it every morning yay) and says that's what Shafer should have said. I'm still surprised by the spouses reaction but better yet was her next question:

She then asks - "what would it take to get a coach like him (meaning Stoops)?" I just chuckled...

I don't care what the guy talks about if he wins games. This is the type of stuff that people pile onto when their coach isn't winning. People will begin to just tear into everything shafer does or says at every presser until there is nothing left. Wash, rinse, repeat

Good point. It really doesnt matter what he says to the press. People bitched about coach p saying the same things stoops said.
