Our surviving cat, 14 year old Dewey, missed his buddy and playmate, became very lonely and was living in a funk. After three weeks, we started looking for a companion and playmate for Dewey. We looked for a small kitten so Dewey wouldn't feel threatened. My wife applied for 20 kittens on line and was denied, mostly because we lived too far away.  It's not kitten season in the northeast winter. She finally found and applied for these two bonded kittens from a rescue group in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and got accepted.  They were transported from Alabama and we picked them up two hours away from us (I84 exit in Fishkill,  NY) on January 16. Ironically, this rescue group prefers to adopt in the northeast. That way there's zero chance they could end up in a high kill shelter in Alabama. Two sweethearts who are as cute as their picture.  They love Dewey and Dewey loves them.
