OT - Question for Knicks and Celts fans. Would you make this trade - Shumpert and Felton for

Idk, so far this season I'm enjoying the knicks taking 90% of their shots from 20 feet and deeper :bang:

For the talent? Yes.

For the attitude? No.

I don't like Rondo. There's playing with a chip on your shoulder and there's being an a**hole. Rondo is an a**hole.

Those two and at least a protected 1st rounder. At least for Rondo. No knock on Felton, but he isn't in Rondo's league. But it would work really well for the celtics if they really are trying to tank this season.

Rondo?
No.

From my understand Shumpert is an outstanding defender, which we already have in Bradley.

And Felton is not good enough for Rondo.

Maybe Carmelo and Felton for Rondo and add one?

Not entirely convinced that either of those guys would even start on the celtics.

Nope. And I think Rondo's reputation as having an attitude is overblown. If I knew the Knicks would have a lottery pick, I'd consider it.

Rondo?
yep. Tired of watching Prigioni and Felton get abused on the defensive end. Rondo would put an end to that, help with rebounding and distribute to Melo and the wings. But I think the Celts can get more, not happening.

Rondo?
First I would put you on hold. Then I would laugh my ass off for about 5 minutes. Then I would politely decline. I mean...that trade doesn't make any sense for the Celtics on many different levels.

Assuming Rondo is healthy that would be an amazing haul for the Knicks.

Yeah, you say yes and process this trade before the drunk Celtic exec on the other lines sobers up.

Felton and Prigioni are killing us. People want to overanalyze all the Knicks shortcomings however the real killer is the fact that Felton might be the worst starting point guard in the NBA. Prigs is not much better.

There is a ton of talk about Shumpert for Faried. I wish there was some way they could turn Shump into a pg, literally or via trade.

Rondo?
Ok Deano...are you really the Knicks GM and just using this board to float your trade idea??

Both the New York Daily News and ESPN's Chris Broussard reported that the Knicks were interested in trading for Rondo. The return for Rondo would center around Iman Shumpert, Raymond Felton and Amar'e Stoudemire, according to the News. According to Broussard, the interest on Boston's side is minimal.

Celtics will make that trade if Knicks (or a 3rd team) takes Wallace's contract. They would clear tons of cap space, and as much as he says he isn't, Ainge wants to tank. Keeping Rondo will put the Celtics in playoff contention.

Boston has shown interest in taking on Amare's contract, only problem is they want to deal Wallace/Lee in return. Wallace and Lee are solid players but have bad contracts that last a year longer than Amare's.

There is definitely something going on between NY and Boston. Whethere Shump and Rondo get involved, who knows.

There's not a player on the Knicks that would be more valuable, to the celtics, than Rondo, not even Carmelo.

I don't think Ainge makes that move. Cap space doesn't do Boston any good. As much as a GM may want to tank, he's not giving away an all star for nothing. He can always keep Rondo out with an injury.

That's too funny. Another guy and I were talking about trades a week ago and that's when I brought this up and he was like that would be a good trade. Knicks need a PG and I don't think Boston wants Rondo around.

I floated the idea of Shumpert, Felton, and Amare for Rondo and Gerald Wallace's contract to another message board. It makes a decent amount of sense for both sides IMO. Having said that, I can't see the Celtics committing to a 2 year tank by taking on Amare's contract.
