OT - Question for Knicks and Celts fans. Would you make this trade - Shumpert and Felton for

I floated the idea of Shumpert, Felton, and Amare for Rondo and Gerald Wallace's contract to another message board. It makes a decent amount of sense for both sides IMO. Having said that, I can't see the Celtics committing to a 2 year tank by taking on Amare's contract.

I think the Celtics would hold out for more than that. Felton is a negative. So maybe Shumpert, Amare, and a couple future # 1's (way in the future). I just don't think it's that good a match though

Yeah, I agree. I think they can get more. And like I said, I don't think a team wants to eat that much money over 2 years like they'd be doing with Amare, especially if Ainge actually believes he can build a contender around Rondo. But I personally wouldn't mind taking Amare's contract if I'm rebuilding and I'm in a market where you can effectively use that cap space down the road (meaning, not a team like Milwaukee, who I'm a fan of, where they can clear up all the space they want, but they'll never attract a stud).
