He was one of a kind. Hadn't thought of him in years. When I was a kid I was glued to the USA WWF programs. He was perfect for that time and role. RIP

Gene was a great "interviewer", host and showman.
He was as much a part of the old WWF broadcasts as the wrestlers.
And a real influence on a lot of people working in broadcasting (or what's left of it) today.

Wow. Also bad news. Did not realize he was 76. Would’ve thought he was in his 60s. That sucks, loved him on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
