We're going to Rochester today/tonight for a concert. It's at The Bug Jar (219 Monroe ave).

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place to watch multiple games, eat decent food, and has some drink specials? Someplace relatively close (~1.5 miles) to The Bug Jar would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Jeremiah's definitely makes some good wings. They had been rated as Rochester's best for many years. Not a ton of TVs there though if I remember. The Sports Page is a little closer to the Bug Jar as compared to Jeremiah's and is walking distance. The Sports Page is a 'Cuse hangout for games but the food there isn't anything to write home about. The issue in general with all Monroe Ave bars is it draws the college age crowd in heavily, unless your looking for that type of atmosphere.

Personally, If i were looking for a place to eat/drink in that area I'd go over to MacGreggors on the corner of East/Alexander. It's within a half mile from the Bug Jar. They have an INCREDIBLE amount of beers on tap and the food isn't half bad either. http://www.macgregorsgrillandtaproom.net/beers.asp

Just as a word of caution, the Bug Jar is in a iffy part of town. I think a couple years ago there was someone shot just outside the bar.

It's fine there. It was all related to the act they had that night. I've been to bug jar way more than I ever wanted to be. It's fine

Sports page is walking distance and has good wings. It's a dive but you're going to bug jar so you can't be too snooty
