I went to school in rural area upstate.  Any of the major crime that occurred was usually connected to " students" from the major NYC area and their friends.  There were several break ins on our campus where electronics and car stereos were stolen.  They eventually traced the break ins to a guy at the two year school across the street and his friends from one of the boroughs.  They would come up on a weekend and hit apartments and cars while the students were out partying.

I gotta believe this guy at VaTech is an outsider or is a student with a 'side business'.  I hope they catch the bastard and let the football team use him for tackling practice.
