OT - Surprised to not see a thread about the plane crash

That killed someone apparently well known in the Rochester lacrosse circles. Anyone know of this guy?

I played against Mike Shortino (the crash victims' son) in high school, and attended several camps with him. Hell of a defenseman, and always seemed like a great dude. I think he ended up going to UNC if I'm not mistaken. Very sad. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
