OT: Syracuse Cross Country

Probably not many people here follow distance running (I follow it closely, see my screen name) but Syracuse Cross Country (ranked 6th in the nation) dropped the hammer on a loaded field at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational today (blowing out fellow contending teams Wisconsin, Stanford, NAU, etc...). They are not far off being legit contenders for the National Title. I personally think they can beat anyone except for Colorado and Oregon, but on any given day who knows?

Also, only 1 senior in their top 5, and a freshman 6th man. They should contend for the national title for the forseeable future.

They've really got an underclass-heavy team right now. The next couple seasons are going to be interesting.

And Coach Fox has been beastly on the recruiting trail. The have had a virtual monopoly on the best distance running talent in NY state (which is among the best states in the country for HS XC talent).
