Despite the fact that we get more snow than anybody else, we're also one of the top places flights are diverted to when the other NE airports are snowed in.
(May also help that Hancock isn't cluttered up with all those pesky planes).

The ads on this page today have been reminding me of another reason to commend Nordic countries: The beginning of season 2 of "Vikings" on the History Channel, tomorrow. Pretty compelling historical fiction. By finally heading west, the Vikings were kind of joining a new conference like us.

And while UVA's arena has me honoring Led Zeppelin at the moment, I may as well also commend Nordic lands for inspiring The Immigrant Song. "Fight the horde, sing and cry, Valhalla I am coming!"
