I am going to my first FB game at West Point on Sept. 6. I received an email from WP Athletics today which gave me options for tailgating. The one that really piqued my interest was the "Community Tailgate" at the First Class Club on the grounds of the academy. Since it will only be me and my wife, I thought this might be a good idea since it is "a short walking distance from The Cadet Review, Trophy Point, and shuttle services." Anybody have experience or thoughts about this option? Is this a good place to park for a game? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

As a DoD cardholder you have a few more options and can get in faster on game day.

The prepaid tailgate is the way to go on gameday...another option is to park at Buffalo Field, walk to Grant Hall. Grant Hall offers quick takeaway meals, drinks and places to sit on gameday. Grant Hall is across the street from Thayer Hall labeled on this map.

was just at west point last week for the first time.. cool place more people need to visit.

WP has to be the hilliest (is that a word) town in the country.
That said, great place to visit and even better place to watch a football game. Have fun!

Thanks, Mark. I should have just shot you a PM and saved the board another useless thread.

If Tomcat and I are planning to take in a game at West Point...bring heavy duty rain gear no matter what the forecast says.
