Just throwing it out there...as Cuse fans we remember the games in the Linc with 5k fans and most of them being Cuse fans...however, some good things are happening down there. I'm not sold on Temple being a good add to the ACC yet but they would bring coverage back to SE PA/Delaware/SNJ. They would absolutely have to build an oncampus stadium...to even be considered.

Maybe the Temple AD to the ACC. Who ever it is, he or she has made a string of good to great hires as head coach of the football team. Very impressive.

why do you want more northeastern teams in the p5?

My sister lives in Mt Laurel, NJ ... about 20 miles from Philly and 50 miles from AC.

I like games versus teams within 6 hours.

That would work so much better if we were all picking locally from a Texas, California, Florida talent pool.

If I were Temple, I'd be locking up that Bill Cosby money as soon as possible. If it's for a football stadium, so be it.

If the ACC loses a team then Temple should be considered. However IMO Cincy is the better choice. I wouldn't mind losing NC State to the SEC and bringing on Cincy.

If the ACC expands by adding pipe dreams ND &/or Texas there is no reason to add another team. There is no incentive to go to 16 vs 15. An odd amount of teams just means that one team will have a bye week, which is fine.

It would have been interesting had Nova decided to make the jump to FBS back in 2010. That would have put them in the Big East (now AAC) in 2014. So this would have been their 2nd season in the AAC. They would have been a great fit for the ACC if the ACC needed a team.

I think a Temple on-campus stadium is somebody's pipe (hookah?) dream. But maybe I'm wrong: a terribly congested urban-blighted high crime area just may have an appeal to some people. Makes more sense for NYU to build a stadium in Washington Square Park.

And I'm not sure how adding temple brings ACC coverage to pa/Jersey/de...Philadelphia only cares about one college football team, and it's def not Temple.

No expansion until ND would compete full time to the ACC. Cincinnati would be better than Temple. They would open up OH 2nd tier recruiting to the ACC and would have a rivalry with Louisville.

Temple is a flash in the pan. If we signed a home/home deal with them I wouldn't mind it.

Nah...there is a significant minority that dislikes the Cult...gotta play on that

It adds exposure to Philly, especially in BBall. It also helps recruit E PA, NJ, and even MD. Temple would not be a badd choice if the ACC was going to 18 teams. But they likely would be that 18th choice.

fair enough. i like taking all the players in a 6 hour radius.
I see what you're saying but it would place another 2 games for their families that they would be able to reasonably travel to during their child's tenure.

I don't think we would lose kids to temple (hopefully), but it may give us an additional edge for the PA/NJ/MD when we are competing against Ped State/Pitt/MD for kids.

I believe ACC games are already on TV in Philly.

That area cares about pro sports first and foremost, and maybe a little Penn State on Saturdays. Temple is a wasteland. That stadium is going to be 75% ND fans next weekend.

Correct. Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic broadcasts the games of the ACC Regional Network (which is the way I see games on NESN in New England).

Philly cares about college hoops but its not a big CFB town. Penn State owned the crowd against Temple and Notre Dame will do the same.

Temple would take the Syracuse-Pitt crowd tomorrow and be happy with that amount of people on every Saturday that didn't involved ND or Penn State as a great home crowd.
