Interestingly, I saw the same type of ash acting invasive around Beijing... and completely unaffected by ash borer.

I cut 4 of them off my property last summer. Now I have next to nothing for shade down by the lake. On the plus side the little sugar maple that was being obstructed by all the big ash trees should grow like a weed now.
