OT: Today is the 25th anniversary of Pistol Pete's death.

Sadly he died at the age of 40. He was the guy growing up that I modeled my game after. Of course, the only thing I was able to properly copy was his floppy socks. Needless to say, my handle and my J never quite got there.

Everyone always marveled at his shooting but it was his passing and ball handling that I thought made him extremely special. He wasn't just one dimensional.He was so much fun to watch.

Dale Brown kept track of the shots he took in college and calculated he made an average of 13 three point shots per game.

I heard that - sad. Difficult to understand because I can remember watching an LSU college game on tv when I was in high school so why they didn't save any tapes is a head scratcher.

He would take and make shots from the hallway when leaving the gym. That is amazing in any era.
