22 points in 10 matches in the Hex is amazing and really shows the growth and dominance USA has made in CONCACAF the only challenges remain winning a WCQ in Costa Rica and Mexico, and honestly those teams are legit top 30 FIFA teams so winning their is incredibly tough.

It's particularly impressive considering how shaky we looked at the start of qualifying. Honestly after we lost to Honduras to open things up, I was legitimately concerned that we might not qualify based on how poor we looked in that performance. To emerge 7-1-2 is pretty remarkable after that.

The whole sequence felt a little "squirrely"...but if the fix was in, I can't imagine they would have let it get so close to the end.

Didn't they yield a last minute goal against Mexico in their previous game? Perhaps that's just their thing.

This made me laugh for a good 5 minutes as the Mexican announcers tear down the Mexicans. Deadspin translated it after the announcer said we love you and it goes like this.

Watching that game I would not have predicted the last three minutes. Very laid back attitude by US players, not much desire to win it seemed. Then again it may just have been patience on their part.
