Either way it was so obviously the correct thing to do, given what a lock he was to be great. Now they're gonna be good for the next 15 years no matter what. Even with an idiot GM who has traded Jerry Hughes & a 1st rounder for Kelvin Sheppard & Trent Richardson.

Mariotta is no such lock so I don't really see the point. But I guess there's also no point in a 1-6 team playing Michael Vick.
