Personally, I think the ideal number for a conference is 9. 4 home, 4 away for football. 16 games, home and home with everyone for BBall. So I figured 14 9 team conferences based on geography (Sorry Georgia State FBS is full at 126 so get out lol). Conference champs and two wild cards enter a 16 team championship tourny.
