Local woman Jenn Suhr (from Fredonia, went to college and lives in suburban Rochester) just took the lead in the pole vault. Too bad I can't find it on my telly (biotches). http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/track-field/womens-pole-vault-atw072.html

And another homegirl, Abby Wambach, just scored on penalty kick late in game to tie Canada 3-3. Great goal under great pressure (this game I can find on the telly).

I knew the name sounded famaliar. Her husband was probably one of the better athletes in Section V during the mid-80's. He was a great wrestler and Pole Vaulter in his own right. Congrats to the Suhr's!!!
