They couldn’t pay me enough to go to Tallahassee, let alone watch a game there

Obviously our game isn’t moving ticket sales so that’s a fan issue, not an SU issue. Can’t imagine VT and Duke are either, however

Aside from the score, I really enjoyed the game I went to there.
I did also. Been there for 2 SU games, and a third game years earlier which I think was N.C. Good place to see a game. Fans were friendly. A close friend used to have season tickets. He was a very dedicated FSU fan. He's given up his tickets and barely watches games now. Their fans used to be more dedicated than they are now. Maybe that's happening in many places.

I think it partly depends on when/why you became a fan. If it was during the glory years, sometimes the fandom wanes during a down period. It was easy for FSU fans to be spoiled during an almost 30 year elite era.

To be fair they absolutely boat raced us last year. I live down here in Florida and have a couple buddies that are big FSU fans. They saw how good we were doing the first half of the season and they were openly nervous about playing us. They were surprised how easily they beat us. Obviously FSU went on to have a great season and we stumbled a bit on the back half. Just win and you get respect and the other teams fans to notice you

Yeah, panhandle is not my cup of tea
I like the Tallahassee/south Georgia area. Orlando is insanely flat so it's nice to see some variation in terrain.

The game day environments at FSU and UF are fantastic. My daughter is in a sorority at FSU so I'm a bit partial.

VT is close to a sell out, parents weekend. I haven't checked Duke, because Duke.

I was in Tallahassee, the Doak experience is very overrated, I won’t go back and I have been saying as much since I went ( The game before the Wax holding game ) When Mark put out his tailgate list for this year I crossed it off first.

I hope someday to travel to see a SU game there. This year looking at the schedule, I decided to travel to Purdue. Reasons: we'll probably never play there again, last year the teams were very well-matched and played about the most exciting finish we've seen probably this century(?). Now that we are schedule buddies w/ FSU, there will always be a chance to go there. Plus, I don't like our chances for a competitive game considering last year's game. I could be very wrong about that, if Rocky Long works some magic and Shrader holds up the whole season.

You are going to pay more than $17 for a ticket at Purdue or at VaTech, BTW.

Yeah, they probably didn’t think the last game down there was going to be a game and had to use their red ACC direct line into the refs to survive

We’ll be ready.

My group tix are on the 40 yard line. They cost $30...however if I sell 13 more tickets (to 50) our group rate drops to $25.

Tallahassee on gameday is good but it is super expensive to stay in town. I recommend most to stay at least 30 miles out of town to save $100s of dollars.

It’s funny how sometimes your experience can differ. My daughter and her friend were with me and we all had negative vibes. I will say you had a mediocre at best FSU vs a poor SU when I was there . I’m sure a big name opponent against a strong FSU and the atmosphere would be completely different. A half filled Doak watching a blowout was what I saw that day. We stayed in Orlando and went to Universal the day before and that was fun. Drove up Saturday morning.
