Our defense

I feel awful for them. They are a legit top defense in the ACC but with the offense they are given, by late 3rd and 4th quarter they look rough. It’s not fair and I just feel bad for them.

I love this defense. White appears to make great adjustments and he played at least 3 true frosh today.

Agreed. This defense is fun to watch. Creative with the pressure and made to cause turnovers. I love it

Sorry, boys, but I don't buy it. First half of the UNC game, maybe, but Duke and Liberty ran all over us from the opening kickoff. A decent defensive effort beats Liberty. Now, to be fair, between opt outs, transfers and injuries the deep 8 in the 3-3-5 has been decimated. But there is plenty of blame to go around here and I'm not going to lay it 100% on one side of the ball.

I think the D is playing fine.. Just teams have figured out the mistake we make over and over with the young kids. we probably should have caused 4 TOs vs liberty and thats 14 pts worth of mistakes.. they are not playing worse, but film has shown the weakness.

Once Cisco went out this D fizzled out. Cisco was replaced by 168 lbs, true freshman Rob Hanna. Quite the drop off. In a normal year, Hanna is probably redshirting.

On the bright side, all these true freshman getting playing time this year should benefit us next year and onward.
