In any event, I do wholeheartedly buy into the inconsistent effort.  Not only do I buy into it, IMO, it's by far the most significant reason for our poor defense.

Below is a quote from an NBA head coach whose team had the best defense in the league last year, is very good defensively again this year, and currently sitting in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference standings.
