Now if JB was using the Calipari system in the 2011-12 season, we can be sure our two 5* NBA bound super guards MCW (Fr) and Dion Waiters (So) would have played most of the minutes all year, with Scoop and Brandon used sparingly for backup.

By March 2012 do you think they would have been strong enough to carry us to a national title? Or at least beyond the E8? Assume the rest of the team unchanged.

Except they weren't as good then.

True. But that team was the closest to the Calipari one and done annual line-ups. With Joseph, Fair, Fab Melo, and Christmas, it was stacked with highly rated talent. JB does not work to that model, even when he has the talent. The question ... if he did, would we do better in March?

I don't think MCW should have started, but I have a hard time believing he didn't deserve 5-7 minutes a game down the strech. He had a quad double 1.5 years later against Lebron.

playing in the Freshman/Sophomore game on all star weekend does not make you an All Star

we were 34-3. Yeah jb really screwed that team up. If Fab does his school work, we play kentucky for the national title.
Jb should have better prepared MCW for the backup center role...
