Heavy action has our over/under up from 4.5 to 5.5.
I’m still taking the over.

Senior QBs win games (see Wake 2017]. We have depth at QB just in case.
Our OL is experienced. Adding a run game will open everything up.
A dominant DT can change the outcome of a game by themselves (Arthur Jones vs ND). Slayton will do that once or twice.
Concerns about LB are overblown and emotional.
Our secondary has more size and talent on the depth chart than we are used to.

I realize this is the time of year when unrealistic expectations start to set in, but I’m convinced this is the year they come to fruition.

VISN had a guy on yesterday listing all his power over/under plays and SU was one of his under plays..
he had BC/UNC as his over plays, hard to get over for us without winning at least 1 of those.

UV was his biggest under play

I was in AC last week and at one of their new sports books. They only had about 40-50 teams listed. I should have gone to the Borgata to see if they had a line on Syracuse.

Barring major injuries, i'd be very disappointed if we did not get at least 6 wins.

Western Mich, Wagner and Uconn should (need to) be 3 wins right there.

I think .500 against our other home games is very doable: FSU, UNC, NC State, Lville

Then just need to snag one of these on the road: Clemson, Pitt, BC, Wake, ND(neutral field)

Boom, 6 wins.

We used taxi's the first year we went and didn't have much trouble using them. Last year we drove over and parked at the one school neat the dome, can't remember the name, but both ways where fine.

or just win 5 home games plus western michigan

Here's why getting 6 wins will be difficult, according to Phil Steele:

According to his power ratings index, he has Syracuse ranked 82nd

The good news is that he actually has 3 teams on Syracuse's schedule that are actually ranked lower:
Wagner: Not Listed
WMU: Not Listed
UConn: 120

The not so good news is the next 4 lowest teams on Syracuse's schedule are rated around 40 points higher than Cuse:
Pittsburgh: 49
Wake Forest: 46
North Carolina: 45
NC State: 43

The highest 5 teams on Syracuse's schedule are:
Louisville: 31
BC: 19
Fla State: 18
Notre Dame: 8
Clemson: 2

The 1 win jump from 4.5 to 5.5 seems like that would be considered a pretty big jump? Is it a big jump? Any guess as to why?

Need to show well against our peer programs. Glad we have NC State at home.

Stay relatively healthy, own the Dome, don't trip in Kalamazoo (I don't see it happening, but it can be overcome).
