Syracuse, N.Y. — When the Syracuse Orange advanced to the 2016 NCAA Final Four, there was a prevailing thought among some fans and members of the national media that the NCAA's sanctions had little impact on Jim Boeheim's program.
After all, there was Syracuse at the Final Four in Houston just one year after serving a self-imposed postseason ban and only months following Boeheim's own nine-game suspension from the NCAA.
