Washington and Washington State both lose games this weekend.

USC barely escapes Utah.

The conference is in trouble now.

Get ready for ESPN to say 2 SEC teams should make the playoffs.
Georgia needs to lose a game and the ACC will be fine for a playoff team.

The Bulldogs have benefited from a relatively "easy" schedule (for an SEC powerhouse, that is), but they are definitely building momentum. If they beat Auburn and then steamroll GT, they will have done everything they could (outside of beating Bama in the SECCG). They could be an interesting test case for a non-champion making it to the playoffs.

Also, even if they do hiccup along the way, don't discount the possibility of 2 B1G teams. Wiscy looks like they will go undefeated in the regular season. And if PSU or tOSU only have one loss going into that conference championship game, that could prove interesting as well.

ACC is hoping Clemson doesn't lose another game in the regular season and that Miami keeps pulling out these miracles wins. Then if either of them wins the ACCCG they would definitely go to the Football Final Four regardless of what happens in other conferences. But a 2 loss ACC, B12, or PAC champion will have difficulty making the playoffs.

Could be an interesting year for ESPN (...err, the playoff committee).

Cheers,
Neil

Like the Sun rising in the east, you can rely in Georgia to choke away a game or two as soon as you start to believe in them. It happens every year.

Georgia is the best team in college football imo. Poor Alabama schedules FSU during their worst season in years so now it's hard to judge them as their schedule is not that strong.

My money is on the cocktail party that you can’t call a cocktail party because America.

Subpar (by their standards) Florida teams often figure out a way to win that game.

PAC 12 looks pretty lame. Even if Washington or WSU runs the table including PAC 12 title game neither has any OOC of note, in fact both scheduled cupcakes across the board. Biggest winner this weekend was TCU and the Big 12, but long way to go

Georgia :

App State
Notre Dame
Samford
Miss State
Tennessee
Vandy
Mizzou

Florida
South Carolina
Auburn
Kentucky
Georgia Tech

SEC Championship Game

LOL @ that schedule

I'm sorry, but they should have to be an undefeated SEC Champ to get in.

there was a horrible call last night in the Wash./ASU game as Wash. scored on a long T.D. run and the refs flagged them for holding. The holding call was legit on the replay, but the penalty was non-factor. The ref threw the flag down at the 38 YL but the holding was at the 50 YL and the replay and number of player who was called SHOWED IT SO...So it was still 1st. and 10 after all said and done. That was a BCS call to keep them eligible for the playoff as the holding call was 3 yards in the backfield, not 15 yards down the field. The Ref who threw the flag was the same one who called out his number on T.V.

Syracuse will be ACC wrecking ball if they beat Miami next week.

But what great publicity we will get when the 1 loss Clemson team and 1 loss Miami team play in the ACC championship game for the right to go to the playoff.

Why would that be good publicity for us? Because both losses will be to ‘Cuse!

It will be a 2-loss Miami team. ;)

B1G looks the strongest while Bama continues to dominate the SEC giving that conference playoff security. The Pac12, Big 12 and ACC not so much.
