ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Syracuse senior linebacker Parris Bennett is the second Orange standout to accept an invitation to play in the 2018 East-West Shrine Game.

Bennett is the 78th Orange player to be invited to compete in the nation's longest-running senior all-star game and joins offensive lineman Jamar McGloster in representing the Orange at this year's event. McGloster was named to the East-West Shrine roster earlier this month...

Surprised Franklin hasnt been invited.

I agree, if both of these guys were 2 inches taller they would have been starting in the SEC. that said, they are barely 6' and have a nose for the ball. Parris played at 6', 210ish and IMHO was our best lb, best instincts and was better than Zaire in coverage. Best of luck to both of them.

Great, for these guys. I thought PB was our best backer the last few years and our defense wasn't the same after JM went down. Awesome and great exposure for these kids. Personally, i think JM has the size and tools to get a look at safety.
