And how do you know they haven't already approved a number? What I'm hearing indicates they have. The BOT would have to approve any contract... so when in December are they suppose to meet?
Maybe they approved at November meeting ?The BOT would have to approve any contract... so when in December are they suppose to meet?
stop this nonsense. The BOT would have to approve any contract... so when in December are they suppose to meet?

Swap out "Beau Baldwin" for "Scott Frost" and I think this is accurate.stop this nonsense.
you dont conduct a search & a hiring based on when they are meeting.
you wake their sorry rich asses up in the middle of the night and say 'we are hiring beau baldwin...yeah or neah???'

Announced by 12/5?Swap out "Beau Baldwin" for "Scott Frost" and I think this is accurate.
If we are going to invest in a $4-5 Mil contract, I would certainly hope so.The only thing I wonder about is if Syverud will require the top candidate to visit campus for a meet and greet before he signs off on sending out the offer.

IMO it's more important to get it right that be at the head of the line.
Those aren't mutually exclusive things. The right guy might be gone in short order. If we are going to invest in a $4-5 Mil contract, I would certainly hope so.

VT has shown they're not playing around. Hope we do the same (I mean by quality of candidate, not timeline)

EXACTLY
Probably have already run this by the BOT informally to confirm the money that's going to be put on the table.Plus, Coyle and Syverud know full well how this game is played. Once you settle on a candidate you typically need to move quickly. They're certainly not going to have a process where they must wait for a BOT meeting that might be weeks away.
My guess is the numbers/terms get discussed, interest is expressed or not and then the contract is drawn and put b/ the BOT later. The BOT would have to approve any contract... so when in December are they suppose to meet?
