He actually doesn't hate SUIs this why he seemingly hates SU so much?
You mean like when he predicted NC State would beat us last year and “everyone will remember that Syracuse still stinks at football”. He doesn’t deserve the bootcamp, dammitHe actually doesn't hate SU
He's talked positively about the school and programs before

It is schtick, but I can’t stand himSchtick for TV
He jabbed the Cuse ESPN alums on staff, and if I remember, the game cast staff in particular
Looped reel of death wails: Rutgers season highlightsI'd rather listen to a looped reel of death wails from prey being killed on an episode of Wild Kingdom than Pat McAfee.
Me too… I enjoy him.I think he brings fun and positive energy to the show. With Corso's time left on the show left obviously short, Gameday needs a quirky Bill Walton-like personality to take his place and keep things lively. Remember, this isn't PBS Newshour. It's a pre-game college football show in front of a thousand excited people who want to be fired up.

I agree in theory, but he's kind of a loud mouth that shouts over everyone else. It's too over the top. I never thought Corso was a great analyst even before he became a caricature of himself, but, in old days, he at least took that part somewhat seriously. And the reason his quirkiness works is because he's old and endearing. Nothing about McAfee is endearing and he offered no real analysis when I saw him on gameday. If he toned down the schtick a bit, it would be fun without being obnoxious. But our culture has decided it likes obnoxious, so I'm sure his role will expand.I think he brings fun and positive energy to the show. Lou Holtz... Joking of courseQuestion for people who don't like McAfee (genuinely curious): who would you have take Corso's place? It can't be someone dull like David Pollack. Kirk already plays the part of the serious analyst, and obviously does a great job. Des is light-hearted but also more on the serious side. You have to have someone outgoing and charismatic in that seat that the crowd will play off of.

I like Pat, I think he’s fantastic. Outside of the one liner he had directed at us last season, I think he’s a really good addition for gameday.
I was thinking of Mark Richt, man that guy is entertaining to listen too…………if ya like ludes manLou Holtz... Joking of course
If your looking for somone to take the Corso role, that won't work. The reason it worked with Corso is that it was organic and not intended. It grew into more than anyone would have ever anticipated. Trying to recapture lightning in a bottle is always a mistake. They should find a former coach with a good personality and just let him be him. They have plenty of former players already. I have the same opinion of PTI, the only ESPN show I routinely watch. Once Wilbon and Tony are done, just kill the show. You won't create that genuine chemistry, you have to recognize it when you stumble upon it.Question for people who don't like McAfee (genuinely curious): who would you have take Corso's place?
