I would think that the last thing any PSU official should be doing is taking the dais with a microphone in front of a pack of blood thirsty reporters. Paterno just strikes me as an old warhorse / powerful political chairman / godfather type (not criminal til now) who is utterly tone deaf to the rest of the world because he doesn't need to be any other way.

Yes it is his normal game week presser. I really really doubt it happens but a couple of tweeters are saying he may step down. I think he is too arrogant to do that. I'm beginning to wonder if he supports child abuse/sex. I was also reminded that a few years ago N.O.W. (yes I know most hate them), tried to get him fired over comments he made about sex abuse.

I think you nailed it. And he's had the media in the state, particularly in and around Central Pennsyltucky, eating out of his hand for so long that he probably thinks no one would dare push this issue too far when he's come down from Mount Nittany to dispense his wisdom on football.

She's going on assignment to the press conference today. This is not going away anytime soon unless joe steps down as head coach.

Agree about JoPa's arrogance. I'm fairly sure he sees himself as being above the fray here. Though he obviously is not. I don't see him resigning. But I do think this will be his last year at PSU.
