Elated there's talk of HCDFB leaving. That means we're doing well. 
Me thinks he stays. My personal reasons:
1. Does he really want to go to an insanely pressurized school where winning football is a religion and not a sport?
2. How much money does anyone need to feel secure? He's got that.
3. Who doesn't like being a big fish in a small pond? - I don't know about his ego needs, but he seems like a mature, intelligent gentleman who may not want to go "Legacy Hunting" at 58. 
4. The Syracuse situation is an ideal chemistry lab to create his special brand of offense (fast track in a renovated dome). He can work relatively undisturbed in an indoor laboratory.
4.5. Maybe his lovely wife Susan is tired of pulling up stakes every 2-3 years. 
5. His legacy has already grown at Syracuse University. I'd be satisfied with that. Boeheim stayed. Mac left, but came back to settle here. Pasqualoni would've stayed (I think). Babers (IMHO) would be foolish to leave. This is an ideal job for someone of DB's temperament: none of that Urban Meyer/Nick Saban 90K+ for the spring game bullship or being immersed in a 24/7 football world. 
6. Even if he does stay, he'll have some mediocre years. It happens. But the potential for doing something truly special is here now. It's exciting and new (sounds like the theme from The Love Boat). 
7. Logic dictates he stays. But since this isn't the planet Vulcan, we'll just have to see.
