When people try to say P was the clear cut second best coach in school history and give him full credit for those first 2 years, I think they're discrediting Mac for how he set that team up. The same can be said when using winning percentage or total wins as an argument. Mac came into a program that wasn't as good as what P was left and it took a few years to get things going.
