[B]AD–Coach relationship[/B] – Fran and the AD need to be in constant, open, honest communication. Lay out what’s possible, the long-term plans, and what will require more alumni support. Keep Fran from feeling like Doug Marrone did. Right now it looks like they’re on the same page, which is encouraging.

[B]Bottom line[/B] – Give Fran the keys to the kingdom and let him build. If we lose him, we risk setting the program back 5–10 years—or more. Fran Brown is the future of Syracuse football. If he stays, his name will stand alongside Schwartzwalder, MacPherson, and Pasqualoni—maybe even above them.
