This is what you get. That said, it one more win and get to boston. We aren't going to blow anyone out but unless somebody shoots the lights out we will hang in there. Welcome to rock fight basketball. I am beginning to agree with a lot of NBA guys the quality of play in college basketball is really really down.

That said, Jay crowder is the best player in college basketball. I know he is bigger than Paul but he is what I thought Harris would be. Dude is a monster and may just put Marquette on his back for a really nice run. He is a bully and people hate that

Yeah - we should play the BE schedule in NOV & Dec and the warmups in JAN & FEB.

The quality of college basketball went down when the NBA started drafting 17 year olds. Ironic that NBA guys would be the ones pointing it out. When Barkley was in college, leaving after 3 years meant future NBA superstar. Today that means something must be wrong with your game.

Although, to me the college game is at its worst level ever, and the NBA has stopped drafting high school kids, and kids have been leaving too-early for going on 15 years now.

I think it's more than just the NBA issue. I was at a work event yesterday where Geno Auriemma spoke. I know people hate the guy, but he was awesome. He said AAU ball has hurt the men's game badly because kids just play games now, they don't practice. I'm sure it's an oversimplification, but I suspect there's a lot of truth to it.

I have some friends who only watch the NBA, they have no D1 college affiliation, and I understand why. Some people don't like the NBA style of play, but college can be utterly painful much of the time.
