Penn State is going thru that phase we went thru with Rutgers

My girlfriend and her family are from Chester,Pa and are full of Penn State alums.
They aren't full blown Cult of joe as they don't want the statue brought back out, but thought the bowl ban and scholarship reductions were too severe(I disagreed but it was the punishing the present for the past excuse which I hate
Anyway the Penn State fans HATE the Big Ten and its leaders. They hate the fact Rutgers is being pushed down their throats as a rival while they wanted an Eastern expansion it was for their fanbase to have easier travel road games not to be used to build a faux rivalry. That fanbase is going thru what we thru from 2003-2008 Rutgers fans acting their entire history of being a laughingstock has been wiped away like they are some superpower because they have become mediocre. Penn State loves having Maryland and Rutgers as 2 annual wins with one as an annual short road game each year.

Penn State like Syracuse doesn't hate Rutgers football team they hate Rutgers fans. That doesn't make the teams rivals.
Honestly that fanbase is completely fraudulent UConn which started D-1 football in the early 2000s has accomplished more than Rutgers and even they are less annoying a fanbase. Congrats Rutgers internet fans you showed the world your still Rutgers.

Internet wonders that fan base is. To RU's credit though, it was a great atmosphere last night and the ending classic Rutgers with a Nova pick and loss. Also to their credit they will always be Rutgers.

I think if O'Brien stayed PSU would be one tough team but Franklin does not impress me at all. I wish PSU did make the jump and Maryland stayed. Love Louisville though and if I could have had it all PSU, Louisville, Maryland and ND would be ACC.

I know this is a minor thing (about Franklin) - but did anyone notice late in the game when he was running up and down the sideline motioning his team to back off from standing too close to the field like this was a really important Head coaching duty? I didn't see anyone too close to the field in any event. It just looked stupid and vaguely egotistical. I know it's nothing but I found it irritating.

Franklin is a very good recruiter but a poor game coach. I do pity the poor PSU fans that have to put up with RU's internet wonders but maybe that is the price they have to pay for what happened over there...RU purgatory. No SU...No Pitt...No WV. Should have made the jump to the ACC.
