Penn State New HC & Marrone Good Friends

Picked this up in the Penn Live article talking about Penn State's new coach Billy O'Brien:

With Irish blue eyes firing and his gravelly voice booming straight talk, Penn State's new football coach came off a lot like one of his best friends, Syracuse coach Doug Marrone, and very different from his elderly predecessor.

But the most important connection O’Brien made at Georgia Tech came through Marrone, the current Syracuse coach. He introduced O’Brien to his future wife, Colleen, who had gone to Atlanta to visit Marrone’s wife, Helen. The two women attended Boston College together, and Colleen had introduced Doug and Helen. The families remain close and vacation together.

The connection is George O'Leary who they both consider mentors and coached together at G'Tech.​
