That said, I don't think that Autry knows how to run a modern offense built on analytics and that definitely hampers the ability for them to get the most out of the players that they've selected. I know we like to bang on the staff for not running plays, me included, but they really do. Autry's supposed goal is have a flexible offense that allows the players to make reads and make basketball decisions. Which, yeah, sure, that's great. The problem(s) I see are that some of the plays don't seem to make the best use of the player they isolating for, they don't execute well (lots of sloppy picks and missing open guys like last night), or know what to do after the first read. All of which devolves into sloppy ISO ball because a decent D will be able to stop the obvious play and then everyone standing there confused and, when in doubt, take a shot.
