Meh - the average idiot college football fan still thinks Va Tech is a power program. They seem to be in decline, and I can't wait to hear people say "Va Tech USED TO BE a good program"...but that day isn't here just yet.

The VT special teams were pretty poor this year. Just another milepost.
They lose 6 starters on defense and three on offense, including QB, WR and OG.

Their recruiting class looks pretty impressive (7 four stars) and they have several promising rs frosh available next year.

Looks like the staff will have a coaching challenge next year but the talent appears to be there.

For a little perspective, see VATech's OOC scheduling. They are not as impressive as their record pretends to be. Add in the fact that they are in the weaker ACC Division and ave gone 1-3 in their last 4 bowls, beating Rutgers for the lone victory, things are not as eye popping as they could be.
