Basketball really is the wild west right now, especially at Cuse. Seems we're in the midst of building a base roster of guys we can win with, won't break the bank and won't need egos rerecruited every year. These additions, however, won't be the only ones. GMac doesn't want to get stuck with a 5-6 man Sienna rotation again and likely not a JAB 7 man rotation for the year. You need talent to push one another which is something we've sorely lacked. Kids knowing minutes are guaranteed because they know noone is behind them and it showed. Also, injuries happen and need options if/when they do (see last year's QB situation). GMac's currently baking the cake which will allow him to know how much money he has for the icing. This is smart as you need a solid foundation on a team that had 0 committed players a couple weeks ago. Let him cook (bake) for a bit and see what the full roster build is before jumping off any roof tops folks. Nobody currently signed is a guarantee to start but all potentially could and do so quite well depending on pieces filling in around them. Folefac is a BIG cake guy and hope we land him. Can play multiple minutes at multiple spots and will play his ass off at all times. Think a lot of takes would change if he was listed at 6'9 (niiice) instead of 6'7 (sixxxx sevvvven). If we land him and Moesch AND splash on a PG and true 5 we'll have requisite depth and talent levels to contend. All this without having to lean hard on guys that aren't ready or have elite measurables with 0 basketball acumen to go with them which has been our recent plight.
