But as long as people don't want to be honest and play by the rules it will be next to impossible for the NCAA to enforce the eligibility rules even handedly.    They need to find clear evidence of the payments or benefits, which isn't easy.   Then they need to have the determination to enforce rules in situations like this where the clear evidence only ties indirectly to the player or the school.

For everyone feeling sorry for DeSousa or Kansas how many times have we watched a recruitment go down where a top kid suddenly ends up at UK, KU, AZ or a plethora of other schools that we think are dirty, only to have nothing done.   Maybe this is pay back for Bill Preston or Josh Selby or any number of others?

If the schools or coaches were actually writing checks to the kids, or directly handing them bags of money if might be easy to regulate.    When you have off-shore shell companies owned by boosters sending money to a prospect's mother's boy friend's second cousin it's really hard to regulate unless you take some bold and draconian steps.

The whole topic makes me wonder how many 5* prospects have bit coin accounts?
