[QUOTE="Cheriehoop, post: 5237263, member: 127"] I wasn’t criticizing Coach Jack’s effort, got to love her. I’m saying that you need a top recruiting assistant with experience and connections to the developmental leagues that the best young players are involved with. Of course NIL is an important factor now but if you don’t have a strong connection years before they head to college, you are behind. Assistants make their name and progression based on their recruiting ties and successes and it’s a grueling job many times on the road throughout the off season. They need to love and embrace that constant grind. Remember too, we lost an assistant, Sue Ludwig, who said she had to slow down for her health, that was in addition to Coach Jack’s health issue last summer. It had to affect recruiting - this is just her 3rd season at SU. It was a need we only just filled since we just hired this past July, Ty Evans, an experienced coach who is going to be our main recruiting guru. This is a great move but the fruit will take a little time to pay off. It was needed and hopefully we will see results in future recruiting. No one would be better to close recruiting efforts than Coach Jack and of course hoping NIL efforts will improve too.Welcome Ty to SU!
