Only from my observation in the one game, the team is well coached but has Carmelo on the outside in the bleacher making decisions. Really believe in the second half of the game I watched a conscious decision was made to let Kiyan try to create. Tyler Jackson was on the floor almost the entire game but did not touch the ball that much especially in the second half. For this well level, there is some structure where the ball on occasion moved to the open man and they had 2-3 good forwards that could score inside Jaitavius Kelly and Jayden Fort had good shots and made things happened in the game I watched. Not taking anything away from Kiyan Anthony but I felt he handled the ball too much in the second half and failed to involve the rest of his team. Team Melo had a small lead going into the second half and lost in the last minute of the game. According to the overall stats, Tyler Jackson scored 84 points (but only 7 in the game I saw). Outside of the game I saw, he averaged close to 20 points a game. From what I saw (1 game), Tyler has impressive start and go speed, could penetrate, has strength and stamina, and knows how to play. I could see how his speed and aggressiveness on defense will translate to the college level. I view him as a combo guard more than a point guard at this time. If he is 6’2” as advertised, he looks smaller on the court. While I feel Niguel James has a better handle than Tyler, differences between the teams they play with and offensive strategies definitely played a factor. I saw Niguel James (Expressions Elite) play Sadiq’s team (Team United). His supporting staff (Jayden Harrell, Dwayne Aristode, London Jemison) were way better than Sadiq‘s. Expressions Elite had also better ball movement and offensive sets.
