He's quick.  And he can get into the lane, at this level of competition.  He's a decent shooter, with mixed results at the bigger camps.  But when you add it all up, he's an undersized shooting guard who lacks the handle / playmaking aptitude to be a point guard at the P5 level.

And in that regard, he's no different than several smaller, disappointing PG prospects who've failed here over the years.  Michael Edwards.  Josh Wright.  Kaleb Joseph.

Now, the way that his stock has begun to dip nationally -- and the general lack of P5 attention he's garnering at the current time -- speak volumes in and of itself.  That doesn't mean that it's inevitable that he'll fail -- he could certainly exceed the low bar of the trio of comps I list above.  But there is limited evidence to support that hope.

He's a kid who has seemed to plateau, who's on the smaller side, yet lacks the point guard aptitude needed to excel in a high major conference like the ACC.

So, is there a possibility that he outshoots the pessimistic projection I list above?  Sure.  But is it more likely that he is who is profile and declining interest on the recruiting trail suggest he is?  I strongly believe so.
