Total BS call. First off, as far as I am aware, there is no such thing as illegal spinning.

Second, I'm sure that the ref was referring to the defensive player making movements prior to the snap "designed to draw the OL offsides". However, those may well have been in response to ULL's snap count devised to get the defense to jump. With a 55 yard attempt, I guaranteee you that ULL was trying to do exactly that. No contact was made by the SDSU player and in fact he merely twiched.

Great game but ULL got some real home cooking there.
