The Yanks better hope he isn't another "dead arm" like Hughes suffered. I'm not sold that Hughes will ever make it all the way back if he suffered some form of nerve damage in there. As for Pettite coming back, well its possible if he doesn't hope to get batters out with a fastball. Curve ball and slider might be enough along with excellent control and a fastball as a change of pace pitch not used consistently on any count that can be predicted like Hughes developed.With AAA pitchers not doing anything, it seems that pitching will once again be an issue for the Bombers. I doubt Grandy can repeat his power numbers this year and Cano has a habit of going for the fences too much so it should be a hold your breath kind of season with all kinds of maneuvering.couchburn
