sct site has him now listed as visiting Syracuse this weekend and an article up from his coach. We've not offered according to either site.

This would be huge for us to land this kid. another BIG guy for the D-line

After reading the article it sounds like he still wants Rutgers to me.

I don't have a subscription to either of the other sites anymore so I don't have an idea. Also who wrote the article was it Dohn?

No. Sam Hellman (although he's the new Rutgers site writer).

Great question. If Dohn wrote it, then you know it's going to have a huge scarlet red undertone to it.

No. Sam Hellman.

Hellman is the Rutgers beat writer. He is an alum I believe, and probably worse then Dohn, and that's not just me being a sour puss or wearing orange shaded glasses.

Yeah, I just noticed that and added it above.

Kid might still want buttgers but the shear fact that he's visiting is better for us than not visiting. Look we're in the same boat with Brantley and/or Manley. You can write that they still want Syracuse but we don't really know. Anytime a kid goes on another visit there is a chance of losing him.

is Coach Marrone back in Syracuse, or is he out on the road at this point? hopefully he's at SU if there are any kids up visiting

and if things don't work out for Brantley & Manley at Mizzo & Wake and we fill their spots with solid commits they may rue the day.

I'd rather he be locking kids up than sticking around here, meeting with potential long shots. There are other coaches on the team and Marrone can seal the deal later on if need be.

totally agree with that. And I'd have to believe locking up our committed kids is priority number 1.

I also believe coaches would be in town over the weekend as most full blown recruiting - in home visits and stuff take place during the week. I don't think Marrone would be on the road recruiting over the weekend .

There's definitely spots open to expand this class though especially with kids at need positions - like Pinnix.

OE thats a good point, I wonder if Manley's coach (Or someone from the staff) didn't sit him down and tell him he better firm up his commitment or he was in danger of losing his spot...Mizzou never offered him and Wake has not been pursuing him that hard.

I read he had a Wake offer but you never know with kids what they make up or what is true.
