As I’m about halfway through the Monroe’s interview couple things that jumped out at me I loved:

Beck - his description of Anae as a coach and taking that philosophy himself.  It’s the coaching philosophy I’ve always adhered to  and with roster turnovers having a massive impact, I think the ideology makes the most sense.  If you didn’t listen, in a nutshell being adaptable to the players you have and coaching/play calling that meets their strengths.  Not trying to fit players into a system and being married to doing things a certain way only.  
* on a negative note.  It might be his personality but he had a couple opportunities to say how he felt about working at SU, the community, etc.  He wasn’t negative at all but he was very broad in his responses.  I don’t know if this is just a real short term stop for him whereas Monroe really added depth to why he liked certain things.  Not a surprise but I don’t think he’s married to this place at all and we need to be prepared for him to be gone his first opportunity.  With how the schedule looks next year, he might be a 1 year guy.  Just my opinion.

Monroe - this is a guy I don’t see leaving.  Loved his interview and I’m not done with it yet.  He’s not a move up the ladder at all costs guy.  He mentioned family at least 3 times in the part I’ve listened to already and how Babers genuinely wanting that to be important in their live’s, was important to Monroe.  This guy has balance and is happy with his situation, you don’t describe it how he did unless you believe it.  Also loved how he said; “grass isn’t always greener” and working in the environment Babers has created for the coaches is more important than coaching at a place where it’s just a job.
