A win is a win and since its been 12 months since SU has beaten a "real" team I am just happy they found a way to get a win. Just enjoy it because I am not sure how many more are coming this year with this offense as it is put together. Can't bitch too much after tonight.

Run defense was sensational. Absolutely sensational. Pass defense, not so much. Anderson isn't very good and teams just abuse him week in and week out now. Clearly the weak link in the secondary at this point.

Offensive line did well I thought and was the key for SU being able to hold onto this lead for 3 quarters. The rest of the offense left a lot to be desired. They were flat out bad, let's not sugar coat it. Nassib stunk, plain and simple.

Coaching wise, there were a few questionable decisions (like NOT playing Broyld when your offense is just downright awful most of the game) but nothing too terrible game management wise. Hey, they won the game so I won't be tough on them this week.

They found a win to hold on and win though. Run defense was great. O-line was close to great if not great. Still don't think they have a shot at a bowl but hey at least they beat a conference team and got a quality Win. It was ugly but at least it was a win.

I didn't think Nassib stunk but he did have a tough time on 3rd downs. Someones gotta sit him down with a days worth of Donovan McNabb tapes so he can learn how to improvise. Sunseri made his living off of finding receivers after stepping out of a broken pocket. When Nassib's pockets breaks he just tucks the ball and runs. If he didn't tuck the ball and looks downfield he wouldn't have so many defenders converge on him, he also may find someone to throw to. Also, on 3rd and long when you have nothing ... chuck the ball deep, who cares if they intercept it, it'll probably net far more yards than a punt will.

If they gain some consistency in their offensive game, they are more than capable of getting a bowl game. It's really turnovers that have caused the biggest obstacle to wins. They basically beat Northwestern, & could have easily taken out Minny if they avoid just one additional turnover in each of those contests. You make it sound as if they are getting handled by their opponents.

USC was the only team so far that actually took control of Syracuse by the fourth quarter, & it took even them that long to get the job done.

Can 'CUSE miss a bowl... SURE they can...

WILL THEY?

I would give it 50/50 as of tonight.
