My problem wasn’t necessarily his decision but how he went about it  (ala Lebron James).   If you’re not going to play.. don’t play.  Tell your teammates/Friends why before the summer… they will understand… Tell Spurrier in the summer (or before the summer) he will have to understand.  He made a mockery of the NCAA...picking and choosing when he was going to play and when he wasn’t.  Or in the UNC game—he played but was completely half-assing it.  I watched that full game—don’t say he was triple teamed every play… he clearly was out there jogging around with no real interest in making a play.
It is disrespectful to your friends/teammates.. And I think it raises some red flags... it doesn't make him the Next Haynesworth but it's a damn good indicator he will be one of those guys holding out and re-negotiating every off season.
 
He is an absolute Freak athlete... but he isn't the first freak athlete... to my knowledge he is the  first person to do this.  Peppers didn't do this... Freeney didn't etc...
