Guard play, guard play, guard play.  With the way Boeheim likes to play offense you better have consistent drivers and penetrators on offense.  We don't have any.  PG play is subpar.  I mean when is the last time G drove and dished to someone for a layup or dunk?  The Roberson dunk at Duke?  Cooney doesn't drive and is a poor passer and finisher.  Mal and Howard do it occasionally.  We don't really have the personnel to play like a typical Villanova or Creighton team and succeed VS good defensive teams.  We shoud be able to overcome it but once G is doubled or they hard hedge it's over...or the shot clock runs down and we force a bad shot.  Rak on this team also would make a HUGE difference.

The zone is a liability against good fundamental teams who rebound.  That's just a fact now.  Less athletic yet teams with good passing and good coaches can get it going even when facing big deficits.   We don't dictate any sort of tempo.

Lastly, Pitt, UVA or UL's style D or their supposed clutching/grabbing is a fallacy.  I just don't see it.  A play here or there ok and occasionally we'll get thrown out of the way in a rebounding scenario, but, why is it only us who can't solve them?  Nobody complains about them in the media and I have never heard a coach (JB included) complain.  It's so asinine to even think this.  I mean we can't get ANYTHING going offensively consistently against these teams even with NBA players.  I don't get it.  Most of these games we aren't even getting lit up.  Pitt gave us so many chances today with their empty possessions and turnovers yet we were stuck at both 40 and 45 points WAY late in the game for what seemed like an eternity.  Ugh, so frustrating.  We make them look like a vaunted Georgetown D or something.  I'm going to drink now.
