This would maintain the Tobacco Road rivalries and the "old" Big East rivalries. The Northern Division would be a much tougher division (unless Rutgers gets the nod...but I believe they are more destined for the Big 10) and Duke and North Carolina would continue to have smooth sailing against their weaker sisters.

Projecting a round robin in each division.. home and home the same year and then playing each of the other division teams home and home every other year. Of course that would equate to 15 games. Not much different than the Big East now. Conference championships are a real problem with ACC being committed to playing Championships on Tobacco Road 2012 -2015 I believe. That would suck big time.
